Well, I was at the AGM and no decisions of any sort were made on this matter. Clubs have been asked to submit their views by the end of April.

Can everyone please keep a lid on their emotions over this issue. We have had no legitimate or authorised news so should therefore NOT jump to any conclusion. I could say with reasonable certainty that any plan to remove SPL clubs from Div.1 wont happen this year simply for the reason that SPL clubs have already registered players, entered teams, rosters been drawn up, etc. So just relax boys.

Canweunited, I haven't released ANY paper. I'm not authorised to do anything of the kind. From my understanding the 'response to competition review' that you refer to was a paper written by Brian Roberts and is a personal view on the original discussion paper (available on the FFT website) from FFT.

If people continue to get heated over this topic I will be forced to suspend further discussion until we have something CONFIRMED.

DID ANYONE ACTUALLY GO TO THE AGM?? If you did, can you please confirm the discussion on this topic and the it's outcome. I am happy if people drop me a 'anonymous' e-mail rather put up a post.

Geeeeee wont div 1 be an exciting league this year with those teams kicked out.....NOT!! Div2 will be of much more interest to the everyday punter....!! Seriously, there are so many people out there with short sighted attitude that it is insane...!! Another step backwards for football in Tassie. Teams will now get promoted from Div one will go back down quicker than you can say bob's your uncle... The standard of opponents in div 1 has now dropped, DRAMATICALLY (apologies to other teams in div1).....!!! Teams individual ego's have now hurt div one it will turn into a terrible competition... Shame. Well done FFT another tip top decision....

Young talent at beaechside.. no where else just beachside.. look out for beachside.. i can still recall them loosing the summercup and still boasting that they are the best side.... but with kingborough and south out they must be happy that will make the competition so much harder for them . but i would like to know where do the 50-60 players that play div1 and Div1 res for south and kingborough go??
good way to stop people from playong soccer... but altleast FFT are trying something..
