Reminder - House rules

Blackjack reserves the right to edit messages before publishing. Please make sure you keep your comments as short as possible and relevant to the discussion topic.

We reserve the right to delete messages which:

• Are considered likely to provoke, attack or offend others.

• Are racist, sexist, homophobic, sexually explicit, abusive or otherwise belittling in it’s nature

• Contain foul or abusive language likely to offend

• Break the law or condone or encourage unlawful activity. This includes breach of copyright, defamation and contempt of court.

• Advertise products or services for profit

• Promote or link to other websites or services unless otherwise approved

• Are seen to impersonate someone else

• Repeatedly post the same or similar messages (referred to as ’spam’)

 • Are unrelated to the topic

• Include contact details such as phone numbers, postal or email addresses

• Are written in anything other than English

• Describe or encourage activities which could endanger the safety or well-being of others

• Do not have a e-mail address that is functioning and accessible 

We may also occasionally close comments on a post if we think the discussion has become irrelevant.

Blackjack welcomes feedback, both positive and negative, about this blogsite but please make sure your comments are in line with the above House Rules and are relevant to the post.

If you have a complaint about anything on the website, please email us here.

Repeatedly posting personal or offensive comments about individual members of this blog or the general public may be considered harassment. We reserve the right to remove such messages and take action against those responsible.

  2. So people can’t turn around after and say, “…but I wasn’t told” or “I didn’t know” (as two posters have stated just recently). It’s there for everyone to see and they need to familiarise themselves with the do’s and don’ts.

  3. can I ask why the email matters? If you know who we are anyway through the IP - why is email required?

    Just wondering

    If I need to drop you a message (for whatever reason, like if you win the quiz for example) I want to be able to do so. It also acts as a deterent to idiots that just want to post abusive or inflammatory post. It doesn’t stop them but it does deter. BJ
