Aust. Premier League TV Show - CONGRATULATIONS
I must admit, I watched The Australian Premier League Show on Aurora (AUSTAR Channel 183) last night and I was most impressed by what I saw and just a little bit proud as well.
A huge vote of thanks to Walter Pless, Mr Video (Stefano Lufti & his staff) & all those responsible at FFT for a segment that frankly made all other state segments look amateurish by comparison.
Rather than cringe with embarresment I found myself rather proud of what Tassie was putting forward. Well done all. Top marks.
I look forward to next week’s matches which will include two matches from the Northern Premier League.
I am unaware if this is the correct slot but I would like to congratulate the team that put together our segment of the Channel 183 (Aurora) Premier League show.
The Taroona v Zebras match under lights was A OK . The Roona shirts just made for the occasion .
The Eagles / Olympic game was good viewing as well .
Back ground music good but at times possibly to loud and repititious.
M Shaw and Steve G also came across well .
All in all it showed up the opposition segements for clarity and camera work.
Well done to all.

Brian,
100 % agree. Saw the show last night, and, congratulations to everyone involved. Great for the players and coaches, as I think most of us like to see ourselves in action on the screen. Also good exposure for Tassie football.
I know on this site we have a few gripes about surface of the grounds we play on, but, compared to some of the ones I saw from other states, ours look like bowling greens.

On behalf of the NRFC, I would like to pass on my congrates to Martin Shaw and Walter Pless, along with all responsible for getting the State in the show. I back up BJ’s comments in expecting a c grade highlights show and being well impressed to see a quality production that was informative and well put together, as an ex employee of Southern Cross TV, I understand the anount of work that goes into such a package and commend Mr Video on their high quality production.
.
Walter, if you read these comments and my experience from my time in the industry can be of any use to you please feel free to contact me and I would be more than happy to offer my help where I can.
10 out of 10 FFT and all involved, keep up the good work.

Walter
Great work on the reading of the results. James Alexander Gordon on BBC fame would be proud. I like the intonation so you knew the result before the score.
Geez I’m envious.

Well done on putting together the segment. Just one concern though is the quality of our games in comparison to the mainland games. Felt it was a tad embarrassing watching the difference in class and i think we need to make sure that the best games will be shown each week. I had many comments from mates who play in mainland leagues taking the p*ss but at the end of the day i think we can only go forward from it so congrats FFT, Walter and Mr Video.
Corey, if the standard was as good or better as that in Victoria wouldn’t we have players coming here instead of going there? Some passages of play are just as good if not better but the overall standard just isn’t there. Don’t you remember going to ‘Nationals’?? EVERYONE took the p*ss out you there that’s why it was so sweet to get a victory. The aim is to make things a whole lot better. I think Corey has a nasty case of cultural cringe!!!

I have to say the show was good, well put together and the music wasn’t bad, might be showing your age brian
Even if it was greek dance music…
The footage was a good standard and a prety decent advert for our game here. Even Matty (anaconda) Sanders was starring for GreenGully in the Vic Premier league bit. Good to see!
How will we know what footage will be show and what games are being done?? Or is it just who plays at the right grounds against the right oppisition?
Honestly, sometimes it’s like running a kindergarten around here!!!

I believe Stefano (Mr Video) will be uploading some of the footage to youtube and as soon as he lets me know I will create a link here so everyone can get a gander.

Hey guys, I’m Justin Smith, the editor of the Tasmanian segment of the Premier League Football Show.
I just want to say that the positive response has been overwhelming, especially since it is my first time doing something of this magnitude. The music was repetitive I’ll admit, but our deadline was faster than me and some sacrifices had to be made. I am currently working on this week’s segment, and there should be a bit more of a shake-up in the music department. Unfortunately we do only have what we have to work with, and our pool of music beds is limited at the moment, but expect at least two different sets of music to cover the match highlights, with an english pop song over the ending highlights this time.
Also - I am responsible for the YouTube uploads of the show. Expect episode 1 to go up shortly, but how shortly at the moment is determined by the schedule for the second episode. After that we’ll stick to a regular pattern of uploading the previous week’s episode on Saturday (although that isn’t set in concrete yet).
I’ll see if I can find the time to render Episode 1 and upload it to YouTube tonight.
Thanks for the feedback, I hope we can use it to make episode 2 even better!
Justin, bloody great work mate. Take a bow!!!
Let me know when the ‘Youtube’ uploads are complete and I’ll place a link on here immediately.
Well done. BJ

I’ve just been talking with Stefano and can confirm Monday as the day that the show will make it onto YouTube. As such, expect Episode 1 to go on either late Sunday night or Monday before noon. This means that episode 1 will land right on time, and I can get into the groove of things.
Stefano and I are working very hard on getting Episode 2 out, and we’ve got a green light to extend to 15 minutes! Expect more coverage now, and hopefully we will be able to stick to an even 15 minute timeframe for the rest of the season.
Thanks for all the support for both Tasmanian football and Mr Video - Stefano and I are working very hard on this and really appreciate the support we’re being given.
