  2. Don’t blame you C.A. not a very exciting round. Coastal Derby for Burnie - Somerset, can Rangers hang on to 4th? and see if Launy can grab a point but it’s all over bar the shouting…Roll on 2008

  3. I think City will be to strong for Knights if all their team plays 3-1
Sharks will rest some but pride should get them up 2-1
The reds are growing stronger Watch out next year 3-0
Dev have nothing to play for River for me 2-1

Only interest this week is goal scorers
Possible that Somerset could lead all grades

  4. Still waiting to see video footage of cup game between Sharks and Knights . Whats going on .Wasn’t the standard of the game good enough to be shown? Do you BJ have any contact with Mr Video to pass on to us a reason for the no show?

There will be a delay on the uploading of the past three weeks. Mr Video is absolutely snowed under at the moment. I ask for your patience on this and remember everyone involved in the Tasmanian section of the Premier League Football Show (Aurora) are volunteers. As the footage becomes available I will have it up here as quickly as possible for everyone to enjoy. BJ

  7. Good morning Hugo. Hope todays game is a good one. We,ll share a cold one later on win ,lose or draw no doubt. I’m happy the title has been won as i,ve been scared ****less about this fixture all year. Would have been interesting if the title was still up for grabs. Probably not a good game for Harry to ref LOL.

  15. socceraust a good overview of the season but im sure Bobby Eaves finished with 15 goals . he took a penalty yesterday and blew it. Still a great effort from an 17 year old playing from a wide midfield position. Makes an old dad proud!!

  16. Thanks uncle t
I compile my scorers from three sources - the clubs, FFT and news agency reports. There is sometimes discrepancies and I tend to take the clubs position, where possible, as I believe they should know who scored for them. Most conflicts are over own goals where the scoring side can claim their man netted whilst others state an own goal. The FFT have Bobby as scoring 15 so i will my records with the FFT. Sometime they change things and dont inform anyone. What a surprise!

  17. Thanks Trevor for telling everyone that it was Ron who was sent off. You forgot to mention that he was struck to the face by a Somerset player (who I wont name as I don’t think its the right thing to do) Then Ron retaliated by pushing the ball into the Somerset players face. Fair enough RED but the ref and linesman agreed that he was struck first but and the Somerset player, who started it, should also be given RED but they somehow forgot who it was. isn’t it amazing that everybody in the stands and on the field knew but not them!

What a shame a silly thing like that may well have made the difference on the day. The linesman did apologise to me for his mistake and that is fine actually great to see them acknowledge that they made a blue. I wouldn’t mind betting though that DeCani knew exactly who it was.

  18. I was just passing on news of the game Hugo. No comment of the right or wrong of the situation. I agree your team played very well and apart from some timely saves the result would have been different but thats just the rub of the green.
It was great that Nick Reed Had the chance to speak to both our clubs after the game as he has been a great player for both. He is still playing good so i was a bit shocked when he annouced his retirement.I didn’t know.I hope he reconsiders, if not i’m sure everone wishes him best for the future.

  19. Well, well, Hugo, now as a ref i watch things a bit closer and i’m sure that i saw Ronnie get to his feet and push an open hand into the somerset players face, who retaliated with a double handed push to rons chest, who replied with the ball into somerset players face. i was standing side on so got a better view than those at the bar. Rons red deserved and yes somerset should have had at least a yellow, ron lucky to escape any further after his outburst and return for comment!
when will players learn? somerset player got away fast so linesmen lost him in confusion caused by rons outburst.
Can’t wait till you do your ref’s course and do some matches, don’t leave it too long as we will need you next year!
I’m sure our senior refs will step aside for younger blood.
